How are you feeling today? Let your mood encourage your exercise routine for the day. Here are a few ideas to match your workout with your mood.
Excited
Pumped about an upcoming event for the day? Boost that excitement with a challenging workout.
Anxious
Turn your anxiety into energy by considering a dance or aerobics class that forces you to think about the routine and not what’s making you anxious. In addition, a yoga class can help relax your mind while toning your body.
Sad
If your day is not going so well, use endorphins (feel-good brain chemicals) as a natural mood booster. Aerobic exercise, swimming and weightlifting are great workout options for quick dose of endorphins.
Angry
HIIT kickboxing or boot camps may help you to leave the negative energy on the fitness floor.
Lazy
Push yourself with music, meeting a friend, new workout gear or a reward for yourself. Choose an exciting workout class or routine that you personally enjoy to motivate you to go to the gym.
